Studio 17 takes vintage to another level. The proprietor has a real feel for knowing what each visitor to her shop would appreciate. She'll leave one person to browse on their own and for another,, she'll rustle through all the amazing collections and find just the thing, no matter the occasion. Folks leave looking and feeling better than before they went in. She's sought after as a fabric artist, and most days find her working on one commission or another, if not designing her own one of a kind creations. Studio 17 has a cozy feel and is a bright spot on Pittsboro main drag.

If you have not stopped in to “set a spell”, do so. There is something magical when surrounded by all of the fabric, bling, and other notions, wondering where it all cam from and what new stories it will soon tell. Andi and Jen are creating something mighty special. Lucky Pittsboro….

On my first visit to this remarkable shop, I saw two beautiful examples of Andrea and Jen’s wizardry. One was a floaty party dress decked out with silky, shimmery ties ready for a new life on the dance floor. The second was a dazzling and chic stuffed animal fashioned from a Pashmina scarf in shades of a burnt orange print. Andrea explained that the scarf had been a favorite of a beloved grandmother whose family had asked Andrea to repurpose it in honor of this special granny. Her grandchild now had a precious keepsake. One of a kind.

Andrea creates amazing things and is so incredibly talented! So excited she has a website now so I can keep shopping her incredible collection even though I'm no longer in the area! 💙

Love this place! Love Andrea and Jen! So thankful for the treasure I’ve found here and the work they’ve done to restore/upcycle pieces of fabric I’ve brought in!
